Breach and Breech
Tricksy Twins

Welcome to the shortest article ever published in the pages of Extra Muros.
The word ‘breech’ only sports two E’s when it refers to the back end of:
a baby who got turned the wrong way before exiting his original home.
In all other instances, whether ‘breach of contract’ or ‘once more into the breach, Dear Friends’, the E stands alone.
So, unless you are writing about ordnance or obstetrics, you can safely spell ‘breach’ with an E and an A.
PS: Thanks to Mrs. Muros, who pointed out a glaring omission in the first version of this piece, the current incarnation of ‘Breech and Breach’ weighs a bit more than its predecessor.
