Books on the Shelf
Spark Interesting Thoughts

Some time ago, I wrote a review of Writing to Learn, a book that, at the time, left me somewhat disappointed.
I had been hoping that the volume would expand upon the chapter of the same title, an article that described a visit to the ‘writing to learn’ program at St. Olaf’s College. Instead, I discovered that the other chapters in the book told tales of the author’s life as a journalist.
Recently, in a vain attempt to cull the herd of books that fills the shelves of the Old Headquarters Building, I resolved to give my copy of Writing to Learn to a wee free library. There, I thought, someone interested in the actual subject of the work might discover, and, better yet, enjoy it.
